Tails (Poetry by GalaxyRat)

Updated on May 30, 2017

GalaxyRat is fond of rats and writing. And dark poetry. She knows that people don't like all these things together... but who cares?

Creamy white tails,

Slender, furry, black-n-white males,

Little rats running through the hallway.

One is skittish,

One is little-ish,

Both are a little imperfect.

Scabbers, you see,

Is always full of glee,

and always runs at any loud noise.

Templeon, per say,

Is always at bay,

and he is a little sick with who knows what.

They both claw my bed covers,

They are fighters, not lovers,

but I wouldn't have it any other way.

They are my angels,

They help me when my heart is in mangles,

surely this is the reason that God gave us pets.

Same with me, Flourish. When I am able to, I'm going to adopt a cat that's the most unlikely to be adopted. Thanks for reading!

Pets help us in so many ways. When I am feeling very ill from MS symptoms my cats pile in the bed and babysit me. I'm so glad your babies bring you comfort too. My cats are all beautiful '"ejects" of some kind. Most are unadoptables because of medical conditions and others are socially shy (recovering ferals). Imperfect is perfect with me.

I unpublished it to edit it for a minute. It's coming back, don't worry. Thanks for the comment!

Pets are important to us for our health and sanity, whatever type they are.. Cats, dogs, rats, etc....I can tell from this poem you love your rats. (What happened to your piece of flash fiction..was it "Girl Down the Street? I Went to read it and it was gone. I have written quite a few pieces of flash fiction, check out "The Boulevard of Empty Shos", "The Leaf" for instance.
