Taken Away (poem)

Updated on February 1, 2015

(Let your imagination free)

What possible purpose is reason to me

Whose heart by a dream was taken away

To fields fraught with passion where wishes play

And whispers of kisses set my soul free

-

No limits just skies of things I can do

The music of winds is at my command

The pathways to wonder now close at hand

Those things which made sense are no longer true

-

Forever and never become the same

Those thoughts running wild are hard to maintain

I turn to unknown to help me explain

What had brought me here it once had a name

-

And as the man sank and followed his song

She poured one more drink and whispered so long

Beautiful write, Martin. You bring to life words of pain and disappointment. We have to believe that there is something

better that awaits us, lest we dream in vain.

Sadness can certainly fill an ending relationship. Keeping the good memories helps to overcome.

MH, this one is so beautifully sweet. We are never really prepared for "goodbye" and yet it is inevitable. It is a reminder that if we have never experienced the rain we cannot appreciate the sunshine. It is life albeit painful. A sad and tender piece of work. Thank you.

Mh, the mind is that main battlefield for sure. When one thinks on one thought too long, then it can manifest itself in reality, which is scary, as to exactly what it is one is thinking no doubt!

      Voted up +++ and sharing

God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Mhatter99...one wonders what thoughts go through ones mind..to make them do what they do..and sometimes not even they know the reasons...liked it very much..
