Talking To The Moon

Updated on October 26, 2011

Tonight in California, the sky is dark, the moonlight appeared bright and stars spark the night

The pond is beautifully glowing by the reflection of the moon

Crickets and insect buzzing; whistle of wind blowing brought nature sound so delight...attached to my ear

The breeze of the wind caress my skin brings chills to my body...I need blanket to cover me...

Honey not home, he’s still at work...lonesome...just talking to you

And only you are a friend of me and all the natures surrounds me...for now

Closing my eyes and breathe in fresh air...peacefully I felt even though my heart ache from all the drama life drove me into today

Tears form my eyes and I asked the nature why, why can’t I live in peace like the wind and the trees?

Like the bird dance the air and cricket sound the nights...why me? Living in such despair?

Maybe I’m crazy talking to the moon...the bugs and the bees...the crickets and flies...

The strong winds and light breeze...the pond and the fish...the grass and weeds...

Oh so lonely...my heart ache...I need someone near

Awww...Chanroth! This is when your poetic feeling shines! I love it when your sad because your feeling express deep thoughts. It's soooo heartache...emotional...I just can feel the powerful energy from this poem. Love it! Smile girl!

Hi Ruby thank you! I'm trying my best everyday but still have some trouble. English is a very hard language and I still have problem with verbs and punctuation. Even though I live in America all my life, but it's not easy because English build as you move level...but I'm glad that you found that I'm growing as a writer. I too hope that I get better everyday. Reading your hub and other writers hub build my English as well. I'm a better English speaker than a writer. LOL...

Through great description and use of adjectives, I could easily picture this setting. Great poem. The mysteries of the night are always compelling. Great job on word useage and this poem has a great flow. voted up and beautiful.

Chanroth: My mind makes an association between the sparkling light of the bright moon and important events, people and places in my life.

Thank you for such a lunar tribute (even though wistfully sad), voted up, etc.,

      Derdriu

P.S. The moon is a discrete listener that never tells on the confider of secrets!
