Tango Of Love

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I live in the suburbs of Riga, Latvia with my hubby, Martin and cat Sid.

The tango of love,

always embraced them,

wherever they went.

The musical notes,

the rhythm and steps,

made them feel like flying,

every time they did –

the tango of love.

Days of bliss,

nights of dreams,

together through this world,

hand in hand.

Moonlit nights,

dancing in the dark,

lit only by the silvery moon,

together they would dance,

the tango of love.

As the music held them entranced,

slivery moonbeams drifted down,

it seemed like silver stardust,

sprinkled all around.

As he held her tight,

in his arms she felt so right,

they would dance till the early morning light.

Tango of love held them in its magical power,

at any time or at any hour.

Together their love,

was what led them on,

no matter how the days flew by,

together it was all so magical.

Nighttime came,

the tango of love sounded,

together they danced,

danced to love,

to togetherness,

when the night fell,

beneath sparkling stars,

through the moonlight,

as long as they were together,

as long as there was love,

many different smiles,

many I love yous doing –

the tango of love.

Nice. In a practical sense, I've seen some really fantastic tangos of love. A real art, full of seductiveness and beauty. Lovers dream.

Let the dance begin, swaying to my favorite music...the music of love!

      Happy weekend, my friend!

I like this one a lot. That Elvis song at the end made me think of a college boyfriend who used to sing his version of it to me, "It's now or whenever, my love will wait ... ."

Rasma, I marvel at how you always find new words and ways to describe love in your poetry. Your imagination and creativity are limitless.
