Tattered Window (poem)

Updated on June 19, 2013

She searches for a reason for the day

There through a tattered window of her room

A lifetime of rejection sewed her gloom

Her fashion formed through heartaches and dismay

And darkness gladly takes her to its tomb

With promises of lies to ease her way

To please and tease then seize a soul astray

Soft sighs disguise the perils which there loom

And for a while deception felt so grand

The mask of sadness consumed youthful years

There through a tattered window came a cry

She searches through her room to understand

And what she found would fill her eyes with tears

A strange new star was dawning in the sky

Wow, Martin! The ending really left me thinking. This was amazing and the photos helped bring forth the sentiment.
