Tears Dry Before They Fall From Your Eyes
I Deny what I feel every time I see you,
You Lie about what you really want when you're beside me.
Utter words to hide what you are,
Stutter because you know the truth
but you cannot accept it to yourself.
Deny that you see me when you look at the sky,
I hear silence when you're asked what's inside your heart,
and what's on your mind,
Who do you see when you gaze at the moon,
Who makes you happy when you're alone.
Refuse that it's me--that the answer is me and no one else.
Say that it's somebody else you used to fly kite with,
used to build dreams with,
used to share beautiful stories with.
Deny that it's me.
Remain silent of the truth.
Avoid yourself from falling.
Keep your lies.
Yet you speak more with your stares and your moves.
Subconsciously, your being trapped in your own abyss.
But tears dry on their own,
they dry before they fall.
If my eyes become jaded of staring at yours,
They will no longer wait
for there are too many fish and bait.
So just keep on avoiding what you feel
and say what you don't really mean.
