Tears Flow Freely

Updated on July 30, 2015

Looking For A Way Bottle My Sadness

My energy pumps through my veins faster than the buttons you push on the remote

I rather be here than anywhere else

My frustration drags me down

Sapping my strength

I turn to my pet for comfort

I turn to my wife for love

My words search for a connection

That reach the lonely

Encourage the weak

Question the forgotten

Multiply happiness

Each day a recycled version of the day before

Balancing all the important things we know

So we can unlock the secrets of our past

Trying to enjoy every situation

By tapping into the good

Peace finds its way

To the mind and the touch

Annart I always try keeping busy so I don't have to time to think. When I was younger I would work lots of overtime but now it's not available. I find reading a good book does the trick. Gypsy Rose Lee We all have our blue days what is important is how we turn them around. So we can be back to our pleasant and enjoyable self. Thank you both for reading and sharing. A little rain here. I can't wait till the sun comes out tomorrow.

Voted up and awesome. Really enjoyed your sentiments here. Made me think of the song As Tears Go By.

It's true that when you find things to channel your energy away from sadness, it invariably works. Sometimes it's harder to wash others' sadness away but distractions can work for ourselves and for others.

I tend to put on a load of lively music, my favourites and dance (usually only when I'm on my own though!).

Otherwise, the grandchildren are guaranteed to make me feel better. Just talking to someone takes your mind off yourself and onto someone else's world which might make you thankful for your own.

      Great poem, as always!

Missy Smith Sadness is an awful thing. When I feel blue I do anything and everything to trigger those happy feelings again. Sometimes it's writing, taking a walk in nature, watching a comedy or listening to music. Luckily I snap out of it and once again I can enjoy the smallest things in life to the biggest miracles. Thank you for reading and sharing. What things do you do to help you feel better? Hope you had a great day.

So many people are sad DREAM ON, and it is important that you know you are not alone. I've learned you could know someone that on the outside never ever looks depressed, unhappy, or angry. However, they too have internal doubts and sadness to some extent. We all struggle, maybe on different levels; some worse than others. This life we live is a fight, we all have to find our way through. I enjoyed this poem and understood it well.

Word55 My emotions got the best of me. Sometimes no matter what I do it isn't the right choice. I know happiness is there it's just how to find it. Coming to grips with pain that hides behind a mask of aunt , friend even a brother. So many people are sad and I don't know how to help. Thank you for reading and sharing.
