Tell Us Before You Cross Over

Updated on May 30, 2013

Tell Us Before You Cross Over

Please tell us again before you cross over,

Is there something that you want to say,

Will you deliver a message Above for us?

For you know you'll be with Jesus today.

There will be many who have gone before

So many loved ones you will want to meet.

They will surround you with their greetings

As your feet touch down on Golden Street.

There will be many that you expected to see

But many others you will remember no more.

With the Glory of the Lord surrounding you,

There's no sadness on Heaven's Glory Shore.

If you can look down from the Heavenly Home,

And some folks are so certain that you can,

Pleasures of earth will seem small to you then.

After all,we know it's just a holding place for man.

Oh loved one ,here you know we will miss you,

With your loving voice and your happy smile.

We expect to meet you up there in Heaven

When on earth we have traveled our last mile.

Just close your eyes and take your final sleep,

When you awake Jesus will take you to the Gate .

The world has given you trials and temptations

But you find now that Heaven was worth the wait.

I pray now that when my life on earth is over

And my long journey down here is past and done,

When the Judgment Book is opened that I'll hear ,

My Jesus say,"Clara Kish ,sins not forgiven, "None !"

I think it would be nice if we all knew when we

will pass over. We could make preparations

and be ready when we know our time has come.

It would not be a shock for family and loved ones.

But it is not the way that God has chosen and

not our place to question why, It is up to us to

be ready any time of the day or night. No matter

how much we wish we cannot make any one come

to Jesus .They have to come because they want

to. Every one has their own free will and it is up to

them if they will choose Jesus or Satan .There

will be many brokenhearted loved ones but it will

not be God's fault , everyone has had at least one

chance to come to Jesus ,so the choice is up

to them,Let us hope they choose wisely !

Hello Ann, Death is something that is not the easiest thing to talk about,I used to tell my husband that I might go before he did .He was preparing himself to leave here but he told me he didn't want to leave me ,but it was time for him to go ,He got to the point that he couldn't walk , talk, see or hear and it was time for him to go.we both know that but he didn't want to leave me here .God knew it was time for him to go and I believe God sent him the music to help him. I don't ever remember hearing anything about Heavenly Music until my husband heard it here.He thought I could hear it ,too, but it wasn't for me then,I am so glad that he heard it , it made me feel so good that it was for him .Yes, I remember that song .too, one of the old ones and good ones.Talk to you later ,bye now.love ,Clara

This one reminded me of an old spiritual I heard when I was a young girl, you may remember it to. "This world is not my home, I'm just a passing through, My treasures are laid up, Somewhere above the blue".

Even though my husband had been ill for a good while, we never talked about him leaving. Now I wish we had talked more.

Hello MsDora,Yes, it would give you a little comfort to be able to say good bye but it does not always work out that way,I had not been able to have a conversation with my husband for quite a while before He passed away . He could not see, hear or talk before he died, awhile before he died he would tell us so many times a day that he loved us and he never did that before , He knew he would not be here much longer but he did not want to leave me . It is so hard to see someone that you love be in the shape he was in and really not be able to help him very much, no matter how much you do for them you know that it is not enough. We were married 5 0 years in April. We didn't really get to say good bye but we were prepared for his leaving, Love,Clara

Clara, it is so much more difficult to deal with when the departed one does not get to say "goodbye" or anything else. T'would really help if we can have that last conversation.

Hi Ann, It is good to hear from you .I always try to get them to go to Facebook but sometimes it doesn't come up when I send it in to be published, I have trouble with Facebook sometimes.I like the way that they have it set up on the profile page now ,They have the newest ones first on there , I guess you already know that though. They are making a lot of changes, I am not too sure about some of them yet. That is what some of them tell me, I could never get up in front of people and say what I do on here,I just hope that it gets through to some of the people,God wakes me up most of the time late at night with a few words or lines and I try to finish it . I say it's God's and my poems hope you have a good weekend I'll talk to you later,Love ,Clara

Hello Mabel. Thank you for your nice comment ,I am glad to meet you even if it is just on paper. Stop by any time, you will always be welcome. I told Karen that I woke up a little after 4 in the morning with 2 or 3 lines of this going through my head . God gives me the most of my ideas in the night so I write it then ,if I wait till morning it is going out of my head for good, I always date the poems but I don't often write the time but most of them come in the night,Thank you ,Love, Clara

Hello Clara, Oh yes, our hevenly home, and being with Jesus. What a joy that will be. Beyond our comprehension! It was good to read this - to be reminded of what awaits us. God Bless
