Why?
Why?
Summer Picnic
Summer Picnic

A Thought For My Loved One

Spitting the dummy out,

throwing the toys out of the pram.

Nothing can appease you,

no matter how I can.

I didn't sign up for this,

all those years ago.

I wanted wedded bliss,

not night's left out in the cold.

Where did we go wrong?

we followed all the advice.

Now I see in your eye's,

no love, just as cold as ice.

I love you so much,

the term, I believe, is it hurts.

But try as I might,

I can not repeat the verse.

No more loving glances,

No more sweet summer's touch.

I now spend time alone,

Yet still loving you so much.

Let's try to capture,

the feeling we once felt.

Growing old together,

is what made our hearts melt.

Summer is on the way,

Let's take a picnic by the lake,

Bring me home in the evening,

make love to me, make me feel awake.

Oh darling, how I love you,

My heart has always belonged

to the nicest, most treasured man,

that this face looks upon.

Netts: You do have the power to heal lives. You just do not see it. Your writing, your poetry allows others to cry alone, feel what they thought no one else did, the ability to deal with all the drama... You give them the hope, the dream, the encouragement to push on... Like You!!!

Leelee What a beautiful thing to say, "You heal the wounded", if only I had that power to improve everyone's lives, wouldn't that be just great. Thank you my friend. x

I KNOW MY GRAND NEPHEW DOES NOT CALL YOU NANA... ITS GRANS OR GRAMS.. THERE IS NO DISCUSSION!!!

Now you know this poem was beautiful. Netts you draw the reader in, give them a moment to forget or rethink their own dilemma's and allow them to feel what's inside themselves. You heal the wounded...

      I loved this one bluestar.

Your poems are great and i would never have guessed you were new at composing.

I am not just saying this, I do mean it, I wouldn't say anything otherwise.

So carry on writing and I will carry on reading, actually I have a few of yours to catch up on.

      Take care

      Eiddwen.
