Ten Years Without a Father

Updated on December 8, 2011

On the string of my guitar, lies few drops of tears…
The tears I cried tonight…is the tears I cried because of you…

You nailed me to this broken chair…like you nail my heart too…
You make me feel broken…rotten…and un-focus…confuse

The pond was once shallow, it got deeper since you left…
You left me in the coldest storm, where I freeze to death…

You let me drank my poison soul, got drunk went over control
You let me sat there on contaminated thorn…under a fearful storm

You left me lonely singing a horrible song…
And you came back to me instantly
Saying you are sorry?

How can I forgive you since you left me ten years invisible?

You left me with this child…he grew up without a father…
Now your back home, telling my son you’re his father…

How can he accept? Dear husband I’m not sorry
I’m not the one to blame
It was you who to be shamed!

You had your chance to be a father
But you walked away

Left us two invisible…after ten years you came…

Honey its not the same
We move on to our own direction
Go back to where you came from

my son don't need a father who is irresponsible!

Great poem, I'm sure many young women can relate to this, and you tell it so well that I'm sure many men can relate to the main character of your poem. Keep up the great work, Voted Up, Awesome and Beautiful.

      Excellent Chanroth,

YOU HAD PENNED A VISIONARY POEM TODAY A WOMAN WHO HAS GONE TROUGH THIS KIND OF IRRESPONSIBLE FATHER. NICELY CRAFTED WORDS FULL OF FRUSTRATION FOR THE FATHER AND COMPASSION FOR THE CHILD AND DETERMINATION WITH THE WOMAN WITHIN YOU. GOOD. VERY NICE VOTED UP.WARM HUGS AND WISHES TO YOU
