Tender love, may your impassioned kiss be true,
Tell me now, so I may know what to do.
May the love hold gently, yet deep
In my arms you’ll forever be.
In the day may life be held dear
And in the night, it is so ever clear
When the sun does brightly shine,
The earth and stars are intrinsically mine.
Your kiss is that forever sweet
May love hold strong, and discord unseat.
You’re surrounded by a tender glow
May it stay forever, a beacon to show.
And when my heart should require a rest,
Sleep overcomes me, though I protest.
And when daylight comes and I awake
The sweet wine of my passions I shall partake.
Then twilight comes to me in state,
My pen has written what I navigate,
And the flowers bloom outside of spring
Whence indigo ink, a kiss in spite of everything.
My position in life is what is true
My heart is there for only you;
Simple things are pleasures in life, untold
A gallant effort, not necessarily bold.
I caress your hand in my mind each day
And kiss your lips through unwritten ballet.
My song will be sung in night and morn
And never will I taste the seed of silent forlorn.
As long as your hold my heart in your embrace
A life of wonder will beat in its tender place.
And when my final time has come
Could I but hope my soul will not succumb.
Let’s live life to the fullest and brightest degree,
Where the nightingale comes and beckons to me
Hold me close and support me anon
As before you know it, a short life is gone.
