Thanksgiving Holiday is Here ( a poem of Inspiration)
Thanksgiving time is here, and a time of the brightest holiday's fine cheer,
This the time to count every blessing, and to the creator, all expressing,
Giving thanks for each loved one, of those in our hearts to be so dear.
When Pilgrims first sailed to the coast, a safe passage counted the most,
To their Lord, paid their homage, and his blessings, then to acknowledge,
New homes soon to flourish, with food, all to nourish, of our benevolent host.
As golden leaves all to cascade, fall down, to sail, seem to float to the ground,
With each arrant breeze, scents, all to please, a nice chill to enjoy in the air,
Nighttime shadows, cast, as long as light to last, of a yellow moon, full and round.
Children all laugh and to play, in blue skies, the bright sunshine of every day,
Grownups sweep leaves, a tidy yard, each achieves, in piles, gathered with care,
In broad fields, as each crop yields, all stacked in display, teepees, to portray.
The day of thanks, to arrive, and at hand, a fine banquet to behold, so very grand,
The children and their families, all there, grand folks to be regarded with great care,
A day of feast, as wonders to never cease, the gathering of family, all well planned.
