Thanksgiving - My Gift

Updated on December 30, 2014
Source

I listen to this song every Thanksgiving, thanx to my favorite radio station. Dance with me!

Happy Thanksgiving My Beloved Friends!

If you happen to be a friend of mine who lives in a country that doesn't celebrate America's Thanksgiving, I give thanks to you because I love you. My heart goes out to all of you!

Lots of Love,

Bravewarrior

To those with dreams not yet

Having Life

And those who have been blessed by those dreams

Not one of us is different in what is important it seems.

Knowing your soul and who you are

Showers the world with the

Gift of your person, your heart and your soul.

Invest in the planet by offering God’s Gift

Verily given to you, God Bless Your Spirit!

In living this life, all must be respected

Not choosing one over the other, all to be subjected.

God gave us our souls and the power to do well.

Do unto others as you’d have others do as well.

Always be mindful of life outside your front door,

You never know what the day may bring. Make love your lure.

Peace,

Bravewarrior

Crafty, unfortunately too many people don't recognize each of us as people. Everyone was a stranger before they became a friend!

Aw, Beautiful! I love that last part about being mindful of what's out your front door. It's so important to look around and see if there is something we can do to help someone during their day. Around here, there's not much graciousness among strangers.

we are often left without the true meaning of "thanks" and this poem does it beautifully. Often will alone is not enough to be in the present and realize the gifts of life. It takes a far harder challenge: mindfulness.

You're welcome to read/rate my hubs:)

Paula, thank you. Turkey day was ham day at my house, but it was very nice. How was yours?

Gypsy, love the sentiment but sorry you miss Thanksgiving. You should celebrate it anyway. Bring some of your culture to the table!

Blossom, I've been writing acrostic poems forever, I just didn't know it was a recognized style or had a name. I thought I was just being clever!

You have some lovely thoughts here and express them well. Thank you, especially as I know from experience that writing acrostic poems is not easy.
