That Heavy Heart

Updated on October 6, 2014

By Jeb Bensing

During times like these my friend,
I can give you all the advice you want to here,
I can even compare,
All the things that I had to bear.
You are going through something unique.
Trying to heal a heart that is weak.

We can sit and,
Have a chat.
Talk about this and that.
You can even vent out to your cat.

Just remember that there are others willing to listen.
Opening their own mind by helping you in this hard transition.
Never should the mind ever think that you are alone.
There is always someone that will share their home.
Open their heart and,
Help you move along.
Finding your place is a must,
Knowing there is another you can trust.

Take with you for all time!
Just having friends and family is sublime.
A shoulder to lean on,
An ear to listen,
New ideas and plans can develop a plan of action.

Walk along with your head up high.
You will survive!
Another weight to carry,
Another scar to bury,
You my friend,
Never be weary!
