That Moment I Remember

Updated on June 19, 2013

I remember back when, in my younger day

Played marbled at home---play pretend on a storming day

-----the lightning flash before my eyes, thunder roar the gloomy sky

Tree branch pecking the window...

………I was frighten

And so I cried, I ran into your arm because I know that’s the only place I feel safe

---I could remember that moment as if it was yesterday

The warmth of your arm wrapped around me, the soft spoken word, “honey, it’s okay”

The kiss you place on my cheek, the soft hand you use to wipe my teary eyes

The loved I felt between you and I

--------Ahh this memory would last a lifetime; mom----
