That Door (poem)

Updated on December 9, 2015

That door which saw such wonders passing through

And for such wonders always opened wide

It welcomed possibilities inside

The possibility of knowing you

That door which saw the coming of the tide

For them becoming something always new

What dreams were built on I can do it too

Such possibilities are built upon a stride

That door which weathered each new passing dawn

The footsteps of tomorrows promised more

Strange changes that arose from one suppose

Strange changes all they knew would soon be gone

While one’s supposes builds a brand new door

That one which showed him how may gently close

Music only

You've made the door so significant. I like that.
