That's Life For You

Help Others Find Their Way

A child woke this morning hungry who never asked to be here on earth,

That’s life for you

Anxiety attacks, heart beat drops, sporadic climax. Surely not a blessing, some say I am cursed.

That’s life for you.

A grandma who has taught doctors and lawyers can’t afford to by her medications,

That’s life for you.

Food waste, people haste, such an uncaring and destructive place

That’s life for you

Thousands paid for chemo therapy, yet a wife and a husband lost.

That’s life for you.

So who will be Earth next champion? Saving us from all these pre-made devastation?
Question asked, no one answers.

That’s life for you.

Beggars get ignored, large functions get sponsorship galore, yet many homeless sleeping on the floor.

That's life for you.

Please Help Me

Presidents chatter, Facebook and twitter. They shout victory when the weak is getting weaker.

That’s life for you.

Oil Drills, Oil Spills, Marine kills, large enterprise simply pay bills.

That’s life for you

Judges sentence youth every hour, many times based on your ethnicity and color,

That’s life for you.

The rich pay to hunt elephants and rhinos. Killing for sport is the trait of a psycho.

That’s life for you.

Scientist calls it Earth, This fake blue marble they say we live on.

Billions of humans inhabit land mass, building houses, factories, farm lands to feed on.

While spoiled kids with nuclear codes plan war tactics, genocide and destruction.

Is this the forever life for me, for you for our future?

I only hope that if a new Messiah is to spawn, it will be sooner than later.

Clive, the world really needs a new messiah. A great but troubling poem. That is life for you.

You have spoken for many here, my friend. Sadly, you have eloquently expressed the state of our world, straight, no chaser. Let us pray for raised awareness and that the Messiah soon come. Who or what else can save the world? Thank you for this Monday morning gem. Very moving piece, well done.

We sure do need something, my friend. I do believe a Change is going to happen, and it's my job to be an active part of that change. :)

Kind of a downer dude. Sounds like people who have worked at giving up hope and faith. I reckon that is life for them. A dose of love might heal their pain.

This made me feel sad because it's the truth. We do need a change, and I believe it's coming. I know for sure if you and others continue to write, people may open their eye's a little wider. Bless you Clive..
