The 22-Year-Old Male Who Writes Lyrical Poetry: 'Living The Dream'
Living The Dream
This moment will end,
Once we’re awake.
So tired in love,
Our eye-lids start to blink,
That our heart-rate sank,
And we slowly drift asleep.
Can I forever stay asleep?
Where I don’t have to feel a thing,
And the only time I see you, is in my dreams.
You’re everything I want,
And can never be.
But won’t you keep your head up high,
Until your feeling slowly subsides.
An endless world of words,
Because we’re still asleep –
I hope you wake up soon, from living in this dream.
What a lovely waste of our precious time,
This love, that I’m loving, and we’ll never have.
Simply living the dream.
To see you;
For even just one more time,
And hoping that you’ll stay in mine.
Oh how selfish of me, to dream,
That we never let this pass us by.
Soon just two awkward stranger passers-by.
I could break all sense of reality,
Waking up and it still being real.
Only in my dreams and nowhere else.
Oh how I hope,
And I’ll pray,
That maybe one day, someday,
I might be singing up on-stage;
To help you remember me:
“I never intended,
For the stars to align,
For you living this dream of mine, with me,
And oh how I wish that you were mine.
Since our eyes gave way,
And at 11:11 last night,
I simply wished for you and I.
I simply wished that you were mine,
In another life…..”
