The 22-Year-Old Male Who Writes Lyrical Poetry: 'A Message In A Bottle'

Updated on December 8, 2016

A Message In A Bottle

To my friends, family, lovers, sisters and brothers - A goodbye to those I leave behind.

__________________________

May this message in a bottle,
Be swept ashore to you safely –

Know that this castaway,
Will be with you again shortly.
I’ll come back around,
For the ones who mean the most.
Anchor myself to the ones I love.
Maybe together one day,
We can all get lost at sea,
And one day,
Our minds be set free…..

Because I might be alive,
But somewhere else.
Lost at sea,
And can’t find myself.
Those waves of tragedy,
Have taken me away…..

No easier a way to say,
Goodbye…..
But only for the meantime.
Find me at the edge of the bay.
My heart in hand from the chest in the ocean’s cave.
Watching over the horizon.
Awaiting my long lost companions.

Remember and never forget,
Those times we kept well spent.
Appreciate.
Don’t forget,
But remember instead;
That this time was kept well spent.
This time was kept well spent.....

Oh Good! I love reading your poetry. You are so right, I do not know that college, but I hope you have loads of fun, learn a lot, and when it's time for you to graduate, go make your dreams come true. :)

My daughter is an honor student in 9th grade, a freshman in high school, so we are now trying to determine which college she would like to attend when she graduates. I have her set up in a program that will give her a pretty good scholarship and she has a mentor that will be helping her get more scholarships and also try and help to make a decision on what college to go to. It's all really exciting! I'm very excited for her future! I wish you all the best for yours! :)

Very deep and emotional. I liked how you doubled the lines at the end of it; That this time was kept well spent.

This time was kept well spent.....

This one flows to that end to make it really heartfelt and epic. Good Job. :)
