The Ayodhya Imbroglio

Updated on October 5, 2012

Ayodhya is the birth place of Ram g Who is known as God of Hindus.

When Ram was born ages ago

An iconoclast built the Babri Masjid.

It crumbled down by the force of fanatics

Today, Ram sits under a make shift tent

To get a glimpse of the Lord

Devotees throng braving tight security

The sanctum sanctorium is reached

By passing through winding maze.

Confusing rhetorics are issued,

Secularists broadcast stale views,

An impatient nation chants,

Ram Mandir at all costs.

Sophism by a privileged section

Has led to a re-excavation,

To ascertain if a temple existed

Where the mosque was constructed.

Come rain thunder or storm

Ram smiles benignly amidst furore,

it is for the Hindus to decide

Where the Lord must reside.

This is a social reality about what is happening to our faith and our Gods.

You are an extraordinary Hubber (and woman), I've read enough of your work by now to understand as much. You have solid command of language, and keen awareness of individual words. This is forceful. (I write fiction as Roman Trend, our world views may differ, but I see overlapping interests). Yours truly, W.E.
