The Balm of Choice

The Balm of Choice

Compassion heals.

Judgment steals,

dignity denied…

The hand of

sweet compassion

will reach out

with love, not snide.

Judgment salts

The open wound,

thus, healing

is defied.

Compassion is

the balm of choice

With tender hand

applied.

I would guess compassion is what seperates us from the politicians! I would have said the animals but even they tend to put their wounded out of their misery! Enjoyed this....

A thousand thank yous Tumblin! The inspiration for this poem came from a sign out in front of a church I drive past frequently that says, "Compassion heals more sis than condemnation" which stuck in my head and this tumbled out...good food for my thought!

      Lovely M...

I think I'll change my name Ms. Tender defines Compassion, which would be quite strange indeed...

(although Robin, my wife, probably wouldn't be that surprised as she knows I'm a kook ;}...)

It is indeed! beautifully done. tnderhrt. Just wrote a hub about compassion called Will America gain the world and lose it's soul. Contentious, but, needed to be done.
