"The Bathtub" by Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on April 23, 2014

"The Bathtub"

Trying to find the right mix between hot and cold

A balance between heaven and earth

Naked on my back

In my new womb

My old room filled with liquid

Flooded with memories

Thinking bout bouts with my enemies

All the people I used to be

Writing their requiem requires solitude

Deprivation from the skin

Shed yourself of this blob they call Flynn

Let this bright bubbled brain soak in the bath

The knowledge that surrounds us

The clear fluid motions of impulse

Twitching in our eyes

A close look at our mind, body and soul

Driven by a force

Liquid lightning igniting recognition

Of the sparks that we were, are and will be

A faint sound is heard in the distance

Water like music flows down a drain

At the foot of a mountain

It leads somewhere

It leads nowhere

It leads us along it's path

The tidal wave roaring at our backs
