The Beauty of a Poem

Updated on July 6, 2013

Beautiful... so lavishing
Created by imagination
Written with great determination.

Fantastic... so real
Molding our talents
Revealing our fears and dreams.

Caressed by inspiration
Kissed by satisfaction
Watered by creation.

Poems are real
Showing affection,
Loneliness and happiness.

Crazy sometimes
Poems make a good way
To start life.

They are mysteries
Of life’s hidden desires
If you make a poem,

You’re truly one of a kind!

Makes me wonder,
Can I write one?

"Can I write one" How far I know, This question is definitely not applicable to someone called Unknown Spy, and also Snowdrops.

Great poem, again, Spy! Wish I could write such poems everyday.

Nice poem. I like the ending especially...some /often writers walk between their vanity and insecurity, precariously balanced by these two forces. Also like "Poems are real', that's how I feel about the characters in my stories.

unknown spy, poems indeed show our longings, desires, happiness, sadness, fulfilment, emptiness, craziness, soberness, elation, dejection, freedom, captivity, imagination, reality, ..... In fact, a whole gamut of human emotions are captured by a poet in an intensity which is not possible in prose with so few words.

You have proved this here. You have a way with words.

      Voted up, beautiful and awesome.

Shared it on fb and tweeted.
