How to Benefit from Confessing Sins

Updated on May 9, 2016

Confess In Prayer And Free The Mind

Source

God Will Forgive All Sins

The benefit of confessing sins

Is humbling of us to the Lord,

And each time a sin is confessed

We're brought closer to His accord,

Sin is slave mastering

With a temporary benefit,

And confessing it to God,

Sends it back to the pit,

Sin is a type of wrong

That drives the emotion,

To desire and commit

An ungodly commotion,

The benefit of confessing sins,

Relieves you of evil,

It helps to defeat God’s adversary,

The atrocious Satan devil,

The benefit of confessing sins,

Opens up the heart,

And gives another opportunity

To make a brand new start,

The benefit of confessing sins

Is to receive complete mercy

For anything committed wrong

To God, self and by hearsay,

The benefit of confessing sins

Helps to change from old to the new,

Confessions will be forgiven

As new life comes in you,

Confessing is a bargaining plea,

Only God may be the Judge,

He is to justify you and me,

So sin may no longer budge,

The benefits are vast and beyond,

The distance the eyes can see,

The Spirit from heaven is fond,

Of what we ought to be,

The benefit of confessing sins

Leaves hope in lives prepared

By God taking us in

So our lives are fully spared.

By Totally Surrendering To God

God created us to "have sex" righteously with one person in marriage. If we want to feel all that we should then God's way of life is the way to go. To confess our sins is the way to help transform from wrongness to righteousness. In an independent thought, we should desire to be right for ourselves more-so than for God or anyone else i.e. healthy, loving and pleasing (the good choices that we have to make).

It Is Simple

All that is needed of you

Is confess the wrong that you do

Give it some time to realize the cure

That you are on the right track for sure.

A lovely poem reminding me of the dangers of denial and covering up the truth to ourselves, others and God.

This is a beautiful poem that causes one to remember the benfits of being truthful in our life and prayers.

It's great to be able to confess our sins, but to be forgiven can be something else. As well as being forgiven by our Heavenly Father we need to forgive ourselves and sometimes that can be the hardest thing of all. A good, thought-provoking poem.

Good thoughts to consider. My favorite verse is: "The benefit of confessing sins, Opens up the heart And gives another opportunity To make a brand new start." If that new start were the only benefit, it would be worth it. Thanks for sharing that truth.
