The Black Eyed Child (Flash Fiction by GalaxyRat)

Updated on June 28, 2017

People say that my BFF is a child of demons. My best friend is named Abby. Abby is everything a girl wants for a BFF: she's persuasive, and cunning, and beautiful, and smart, and popular. Whenever we get in trouble, she plays it off so smoothly I think she may have mind controlled the teachers. Smothered in her blue eyes, the teachers would enter a trance-like state and allow us to get out of detention. Everyone favors Abby, not just the educators, but also the students, mostly boys.

But that day I walked into the girls bathroom, I will never forget what happened. She had peeled off her blue contacts and revealed the black that was really there.

This is a fitting conclusion; it was my way of telling you how much I liked your story! Magnificent!

If I could've made the story longer, I would've made the narrator run out the other door. I'd like to think that it's just a blank haze from there, and no one hears from our narrator again. You never know. You just think what you want to think, and it was meant to end like this. Thanks for commenting Tamara!

Are you serious? Wow! I would have ran out the other door, or made a brand new door. That's scary! I would like to continue reading about this. What, then, happened? This is exciting and I want to read more...

Thanks for the compliment, John. Abby is mysterious and all that for this exact reason.

I'd say because they were bothering her or she had to clean them. Thanks for reading, Flourish.

That explains a lot! I like this. Wonder why she took them off, even temporarily?
