The Bond repost
If the question is what is a family
I’m sure that you all agree,
Understanding, love, and respect
To create lasting harmony
But to me It’s not that simple,
There must be more than that.
In a world that is so complex,
That answers rather flat.
My family is more like a puzzle,
Or a child’s model kit.
Whenever a new piece brought in,
My Mom would make it fit.
For my Mom has always been the glue,
That bonded all the pieces.
From every new, strange son in law,
To nephews, and the nieces.
She kept a vigilante watch on us,
With the love straight from her heart.
And carefully glued pieces back in,
When the puzzle fell apart.
And even though the glue has left,
And from this world departed.
There is no thinner strong enough
To break the bonds she started.
