The Burwell Mysteries-Part 13
The morning following the "Prevent Child Abuse" event, things returned to normal. The group decided that the mystical experience which took place the night before was a message from the great beyond. They felt there was some connection to the children they served and the girl that appeared on the screen. They surmised that the energy in the room was not only the child but some evil entity trying to hold her hostage in the other dimension. Spiritually, they felt honored to witness a child calling out for help. As frightening as the experience was, they felt a renewed sense of purpose in the organizations' mission.
As breakfast plates cleared, guests shuffled to the "Candle Light Vigil" for the children. This was to be held the night before but due to the higher consciousness level of this group, they agreed whole-heartedly that it be postponed till day break.
Processing along the grounds of the Burwell estate, guests held a candle in hand and walked for the children. The rainy day mocked the mood and the sacrality of the cause. Rain stopped just as the group lit their votive candles. Ron had the grounds looking especially trimmed. High accolades echoed through the guests to the owners, Louis and Tom.
"Ron, we need to inform Tom and Louis that we know more about the beautiful little girl that made her appearance last night. I feel it's time to tell them that our internship is based on the book, "The Secret" and we know there is more to this story. They mentioned they appreciate the fact that were using the power of intention as we perform our jobs, but we left out a big chunk." "I totally agree with you Courtney, we need to sit down with them and have a frank discussion. They deserve to know that a young girl is asking for help and for some unknown reason, led us here to this B&B. The time is right and the time is now."
The following evening would be the night Courtney and Ron would talk to the owners. They scheduled a dinner meeting with Louis and Tom. A shish kabob dinner out on the patio grill would be the perfect setting for this difficult discussion. "Let's get some rest Ron, tomorrow we'll need all the energy we can muster. Could you walk me to my room and stay with me for a while, I'm still shaken by last night?" Ron took Courtneys' hand in his and walked her to her room. "I thought you would never ask. I've missed you so much, we've both been so busy lately. Are you up for a "feel good" movie to help ease your anxiety? I could pop up some popcorn that I brought from school?"
Courtney giggled as Ron lept on her bed and made a silly face. Laying softly on Ron, she pulled his hands up behind his head and planted a slow sensual kiss on his lips. Feeing his abdomen rising up and down made her feel safe and sound. Ron gently turned Courtney underneath him and stroked her long brunette hair. "Courtney, do you know how much I care about you? I want you to know that everything about you is beautiful to me. It's probably not a secret that I'm falling deeply in love with you. I've never had feelings like this for anyone. When I'm not with you, I'm thinking about you. Giggling faded to sweet whispers and loving sounds of ecstasy.
"I believe there are two sides to the phenomenon known as death, this side where we live, and the other side where we shall continue to live. Eternity does not start with death. We are in eternity now." - Norman Vincent Peale
