The Celestial Prophet. A Play by Manatita and offering to Hari Prasad S (shprd74)
In Heaven 1
Act 1, Scene 0ne: (In Heaven).
Chin Poh Hai looked upon the earth with a heavy Heart. He had worked so hard for his enlightenment! Yet he felt as if something was missing. All below was suffering. Earth ran foolishly, blindly, here and there, and seemed to show no Light in its darkness.
Chin Poh Hai, the Merciful; the Compassionate, felt full of sorrow. God the Supreme had asked him to descend to Earth once more, and he began to recall their very loving conversation:
God the Supreme: “Chin Poh Hai, my child.”
“I would like you to descend to earth, to help with the transformation of the Earth Consciousness.”
Chin Poh Hai felt proud to be asked, and in any case, he had always been obedient.
Chin Poh Hai: “Yes, Father.”
God the Supreme: “Thank you, my son. You know, to work for Earth… for the transformation of human nature, is a most difficult task. They will crucify you!
Chin Poh Hai: “They will crucify me, Father! But why?”
God the Supreme: “Gratitude has not yet been born on Earth, and I do not know if it will ever take birth on earthly soil.”
Chin Poh Hai: “Father, they are such ungrateful people!”
God the Supreme smiles, changing the subject: “My son, you have not sung for me for quite some time. You’re such a sublime singer. Please, sing me a song.”
Chin Poh Hai sings:
“Love is my eternal name;
Heaven my celestial flame.
My Father says man will crucify me,
But until the last man is realised,
How can I be free?”
God the Supreme: “Wonderful! My Son! Wonderful! A truly soul-stirring song!”
Chin Poh Hai is suddenly happy. He turns his face towards the Earth and a blinding Light leaves Heaven, travelling earthbound, for yet another incarnation.
An Indigo moon
Chinese traditional wedding chamber
Act 2, Scene 0ne: (In a Duang District village, China, on Earth).
(Pious Mae Ling has just got married in a traditional ceremony. She is preparing for her wedding night when she suddenly becomes engulfed in an effulgent Light. Cherubim’s, Seraphim’s and minstrels are all singing and dancing in a blaze of glory. She hears a voice, followed by a luminous figure, which tells her that she will have a special child. Then she suddenly becomes aware of her husband calling).
“Mae Ling, my Dearest, where are you?”
“Here, my beloved.” She answers, from the prepared and scented bedroom.
Her husband enters the chamber, and as is customary, they soon begin to indulge in what is essentially the first and sacred virgin act post the wedding ceremony. A dazzling ray penetrates the window and enters her womb, and somehow Mae Ling knows that she has conceived. A virtuous soul, she looks up and offers thanks to God.
Act 2, Scene Two: Three years later.
Chin Poh Hai, the boy: “Mother, mother! What is that Light up in the sky?
Mae Ling: “The moon, my son.”
Chin Poh Hai: “The moon! Mother, I wish to fly in the sky and bring it down.”
Mae Ling (smiling and happy) “My son, you don’t have to go to the moon! The moon will come to you.”
Chin Poh Hai. (Excited). “Really, mother, really? The moon will come to me?”
Mae Ling: “Yes, my son. You are my most favourite child, my only child. You will do great things for your Father in Heaven and here on Earth.”
Chin Poh Hai: “Thank you, mommy, thank you. Where is Heaven?”
Mae Ling smiles again. “In your Heart, my child. There is a very beautiful Temple inside your Heart, which lies in the middle of your chest. It is where you will feel, what we call ‘a quickening of the Soul.’
Chin Poh Hai: “I see. Thank you, mommy; thank you.”
Act 2, Scene Three. (Chin Poh Hai has gone missing. He is now twelve years old, and is found teaching in the village Temple).
Chin Poh Hai to the people: “I have stilled storms; I have turned water into wine. I have even given life to the dead…”
Priests shouting: “Blasphemy! Blasphemy! This man claims to be one with God. Let us be rid of him.”
Head Priest Caiphas, (cleverly wanting Chin Poh Hai to commit himself): “Let us hear what he has to say.”
Chin Po Hai: “Blessed are all those who not only believe in but practice Love, for they shall see God.”
“Blessed are those who serve mankind, for they shall reap the harvest of their noble Hearts.”
“Blessed are those who believe without asking for proof, for their Hearts are mature, and long for Light. Rejoice, for your reward in Heaven will be a thousand fold; your deeds celebrated by the Saints with great rejoicing.”
High Priest Caiphas: “This man speaks against the law. Was it not said by our forefathers, that only God can give rewards in Heaven.”
Crowd: “Away with him. Away with him.”
Mae Ling and husband Zhang Poh Hai appear, and Chin Poh Hai is rushed out of the Temple, and disappears.
Act 2, Scene Four: (Chin Poh Hai is now 21 years old. He is alive …just, and hanging from a cross. Mae Ling kneels at his feet and weeps. Zhang Poh Hai is trying to console her, but is too weak from grief himself. Chin Poh Hai knows that he is dying, his time has come. With a great effort, he lifts up his head and addresses the audience):
“People of Duang Village, fleeting has been my time among you, yet I must leave. The same Power that filled me with Love and sent me as an emissary among you, now bids me to leave, and I must obey. I have taught miracles; saved lives; opened a new pathway to the portals of Heaven’s gate. Rejoice, for at the appointed time, my words will take root, bloom and blossom like kernels planted on fertile soil.
I came here to do the Will of the One who sent me, and I must return. The Path has been strewn with roses, as well as thorns, but some of you have believed and so I leave you to tend to the weaker lambs. Be as wise as serpents, and as gentle as the dove. Fear not, for I am with you always, even unto the end of time.” (Some people weep).
Chin Poh Hai turns slightly, looks down from the cross and sees his parents.
“Husband, behold your wife.” He beseeches.
“Mother, behold your husband.”
Divine Incarnations or God made man
Act 3, Scene One: (Chin Poh Hai’s Spirit passes … he sees Jesus, Rama, Krishna and Buddha in Heaven, they are preparing a beautiful throne for him).
Chin Poh, my Chin Poh, I saw your bleeding Heart.
I cried and cried.
I touched your illumining Soul, I danced and danced.”
Buddha, angry: “ Earth is so ungrateful. You have worked so hard, and yet they have crucified you.”
Krishna: “Earth is not ready, perhaps earth will never be ready for us.”
Rama: “Brother Buddha, Christ, Krishna, come! Our Chin Poh is coming today. Let us build a very special and golden throne for our Dearest Brother. Let us go. Come!”
