The Chirping Breeze

Updated on August 2, 2017

If I Could Not See And Only Hear

A beautiful breeze across my forehead

The traveled across my eye lids, nose and cheeks

Starting on my right side working to my left

A light rustle of leaves and then soft chirping sounds

The wind chimes slowly clinging together

As if they were two lovers who just met

Now silent as the coolness intensifies

A sudden bang of thunder off in a distance

Lifted my body up to the edge of my seat

Here I wait

Anticipating the next boom

It is neither dark or nor light

The sizzling sound of rain hitting the ground

Followed by a crackling

If I didn't know any better

I would think it was a fire burning

Nellieanna If I could not see I would believe the breeze chirps as it blows. There is so much pleasure enjoying our senses. Luckily I can pick and choose which to have or not to have. How blessed am I. How hard it is for other people that have limited abilities. Another day to be thankful. Thank you so much for reading. I tried to make it longer but I had no more words to describe the silence in between. Have a great day.

Gypsy Rose Lee I forget to listen and depend on sight so much. How sounds reflect what we know. To describe it in words is harder than I thought. I could of easily be tricked by the sound of rain and thinking is was a fire burning. A danger instead of something so beautiful. Thank you for reading and sharing.

What a lovely account of many pleasant senses responding to what's happening around them! Just beautiful!

I really enjoyed assigning the chirping to the breeze! It was a total sensory experience!
