The Cleansing Has Come

Updated on September 22, 2016

Now cleaning, its environment, and the outer shell, of its embodiment,

The entity now absolving, so solving, with its long awaited employment.

This living, breathing organism, its hurting shelf, so long it lays abused.

Now to have a newest found freedom, over long years of time refused.

Spinning, still moving, by day and night, in its long accustomed orbital flight,

The blue-green sphere, revolving, forever solving the mystery of its might.

Such a greatest relief, held prisoner by such a thief, as its tides lay in ruin,

As renewing its strength, it shines in progress, soon to take its rightful place.

Shaking its sleepy head, awakening as if from a dreadful dream, it responds,

This once sleeping giant, now alert great fortress, releases it holding bonds.

Volcanic eruptions, the strongest of quakes, all does rumble long, as all shakes,

A final cleansing of this world now has begun, to be complete, by a setting sun.

A grand and guarded ocean, does now receive such devotion, as all within,

Its smallest creatures, once to gasp for air, now much to spare, so to begin,

Those behemoths, the whales, no longer shall faint in awe, to fear the sail,

A kaleidoscope of fish, these of brilliant colors, their new numbers to prevail.

The once beautiful reefs, their multi-colored coral, once prolific, so much subdued,

Now at last is the chance for regrowth, their new lives take heart, are so imbued.

As the precious sea birds call, a signaling of landfall, high above ocean's shores,

Announce the proud new earth, a welcoming re-birth, its joy filled creation soars.

Yes, cleansing has now come, time to beat the signaling drum, a new age begun,

Wiping clean the slate, that of human greed and the hate, all the wrongs, so done.

Once cowardly watchmen, no longer to hide in shadows, in their fear and shame,

As all are left behind, no one to remain, to find, here no source, to take the blame.

The things we do to our planet! You've worded this well as a caution to all.

Sorry I've been rather absent of late. Busy, busy, along with intermittent wifi so trying to catch up!
