The Cold Blue Ocean
The frigidness of the water stuns my feet,
Like an electric shock.
I entangle my toes underneath the soft blanket of sand,
Which coats the vast ocean floor.
Pain stings from my right foot,
As I realize the sharp rock digging into my foot.
As I submerge my chest, I feel the cool fire burn me.
My head quickly follows my chest,
Immersing in the briny water.
My eyes open, but close just as quickly,
As the salt torments my fragile eyes.
The freshness of the water
Cleanses my body like a cool bath.
I rise from the depths of the mighty Ocean,
And trudge to the safety of the warm sand.
