The Cosmos ( inspirational poetry)

Updated on December 7, 2014
AfterThe Big Bang
AfterThe Big Bang
Who or what was the ignition source?
Who or what was the ignition source?
Things began to settle down...
Things began to settle down...
planets formed...to revolve about stars..gravity held them there...
planets formed...to revolve about stars..gravity held them there...
Was there a celestial spirit that gifted the life force...
Was there a celestial spirit that gifted the life force...
Planets revolved in countless galaxies within the Cosmos
Planets revolved in countless galaxies within the Cosmos
Life was created across the universes...
Life was created across the universes...

Perhaps thirteen Billion years ago, a great explosion, then may have occurred,

"The Big Bang", as it was to be called, and this for lack of more explicit words.

Science...astronomy, in particular, all agreed, thus the solution, was now decreed,

The origin of the universe, as ours to lead, in this, new exploration could proceed.

Researchers reveled in this grandest view, and perhaps no creator for me and you,

Many to say a god did not ever exist, despite most religious sects, theirs to persist.

How could just one maker take care of it all, Make the large so large, small so small,

Those confirmed in their faith and resolved to be so, this odd notion, was to resist.

One small matter that many might ignore, in this fine theory, there is so much more,

The ignition of the fuse, that the explosion had to have, greater in depth, is in store.

What, or who, provided the spark, must have left a mark, and to have existed before,

Did they soar in space, have a human face, or to stand anew, on some distant shore?

Every fire requires heat, a flame, its igniter, has a name, perhaps a god, as the same,

Should we discredit, or to shun, what may have begun, of all that is, or how we came?

Could not God, be the benefactor, our origin, the celestial spirit, how all was to begin,

Good begets goodness, and evil that of sin, our human compassion, of all, we are akin.

As humanity struggles with life on this earth, we may take a moment to consider our birth,

The same creator who granted existence, provides all living creatures a fond subsistence.

Be they a species, of many light years in space, our benefactor began ours, the human race,

We walk this earth, its value of greatest worth, beyond the infinity of the cosmos, in our place.

Not "expletive" perhaps explicit? Fine musings.

I agree with this mentality... scientist can always talk about their "knowledge" but, still, someone had to provide the ingredients for the cake, some form of energy; I simply don't know what to call it; nor do I care.
