The Critques Eye

Updated on April 12, 2013

Might words seed thought from thoughtless minds

And bequeath soft words towards those unkind

Reflecting souls who write with hasty quill

Who spread discontent and seed Ill-will

Oft I’ve suffered the critic’s eye

The sting felt from self-righteous minds

That brought forth thoughts to cease within

And seek course remiss of parchments pen

But from the fathoms of my inner soul

A Burning took my spirit hold

It beckoned me from deep within

to find a place and start again

For to write poetry of grace and rhyme

A challenge poised from heart to the mind

That meaning would rise from passions depths

And bring a smile from wince a crushed soul wept

Take heart poets and not holdback your pen

Bring forth thoughts and dreams that lie within

For those whom dimly cast on verse with rhyme

Lack the gift that burns within a poets mind

Thsi was offered to another hubber as a comment and I dicided to add it as a hub, I hope it will inspire those who recieve harsh comments to continue with their passions undaunted

Nicely done, and I am sure the person it was written for appreciated it. Hope all is well. Theresa

Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts torrilynn. Often hubbers are attacked by those posing as critiques with no talent or knowledge. This was offered as encouragement against those attacks. God Bless

Such an amazing hub. It shows such pain and sorrow. Very well organized and beautiful. Thanks. Voted up.
