The Cry - Love Poem

Updated on July 11, 2013

As time goes on and on,
Leaving me far behind,
I relax and fake a yawn,
Pretending to be blind.
But deep in my heart,
I feel the awful pain,
The pain of misery and loneliness,
Soaking me like the ruthless rain.

The pleasures and joys,
Are not my destiny,
I am a frivolous boy,
My life is just a mutiny.
As I walk past the dismay,
Wishing it to get over,
It seems like an endless bay,
Where I am an aimless rover.
Something in my life is calling,
Its calling me to break the chain,
The chain of sorrows and wailing,
And dance merrily in the floral rain.

Surely I will fly again,
As the sky is now all mine,
Breaking off the rusted chain,
My life has got a golden shine.
