The Curious Mister Me

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

Tantamount to my curious mind,

the superficial visions of reality blind,

always seeking that secret truth,

betrayed in living and dismissed in youth.

I cannot help but pursue the facts,

even when the pain detracts,

knowing that the freedom sought,

not always easy as we've been taught.

Killed the cat may well be true,

but right and wrong for me is glue,

a heart that divides all circumstance,

in righteous acts and moral stance.

Not judgement rules my curious mind,

but true to self my paradigm,

and all I can is be that soul,

who deliberates and accepts the whole.

For someone else no rules apply,

and I admit my course is mine,

and as different as I may well be,

this approach I have is mine alone to see.

My curious mind on constant alert,

to understand this journey overt,

into the core of it I'll plunge,

no stone un-turned until I'm done.

And if I fall before my epilogue,

at least I was true to all I counted on,

envisioned life with those I love,

and found my heart at rest, I've won.

Curiosity in life, keeps you interested in the journey, without it we are captive to the mundane, the superficial realms of living.

Curiosity is the basis of learning. Without it we can't embark on the journey of knowledge. All information is preceded by a question and as a wise man once said - "I seek not to know all the answers but to understand the question". Good write Tony. Cheers.

Without curiosity, we would never reach the stars...we would never find love!

As always you have written another tremendous piece Tony.
