The Dance

Updated on May 15, 2012

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

The tempo rises

The dance has begun

A twirl

A stance

Swinging around

A lot of power can be felt

With magic in the air

It can change forms to many things

From love to despair

Many moods

Many changes

Twists and turns

Sensuality

Happiness

To pain

A stirring of energy

Wings spreading

Serenity burns

Symbolism of life

All that goes round

The laughter

The silences

Leaving us spellbound

The force cuts through the air

Spinning round and round

Slow to fast

In between

Coming down

We can go higher

And higher

Never breaking ground

Getting lost

Alone

Or just us two

In the sound

This dance is ours

And ours alone

You grab my hand

And I in yours

Our feet set to stone

I have always loved your poetic dances - you are a true master/mistress of the written word and in your graceful hands it becomes great art because of your exquisite craft and talent - lake erie time ontario canada 1:20pm and sending you warm wishes and good energy

      C21,

my poem of the dance is much different

the music begins your foot feels pain "Im sorry I say"

you smile graceously as you remove my hand from your butt "Behave" you say

"Sorry sir" i say as my elbow accidentaly thrusts into the couple dancing next to us

"Oops sorry" as i bump into yet another couple this time on the other side "Ouch you say as i again step on your beautiful new shoes. "stop that" you say again as my hand again travels lower to squeeze your left buttock.

i smile ans aate- "i cant help it with you in that dress showing that clevage and oh how it fits your wonderful behind- ...i cannot resist"

you smile and whisper in my ear "save some for later"

i smile and say with a gulp..."ah Ok"holding you closer to hide ..um my enthusiasm for the thought as the dance ends I discretly adjust my ...belt area. as we head back off the floor you notice a smile the cheshire cat would be proud of...etc etc...

Uwah, the scent of a woman in my arms as we tango is sublime. Nothing can compare as two figures dance to the music and all desires unfold and the night is but young, for the dance is everything. Well done, Bravo...I love to dance.

Life is on hold as the dance goes on. Wonderful poem and video. I used to dance all night long, No matter what singer, No matter what song.

Loved that closeup of the eyeball in the video; it added immensely to the immense sensuousness of this poem and the other pictures. I love to dance, Caroline, I even took lessons a long time ago, but haven't had much chance lately--good job!!!!
