The Direction of Love

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

Love is not limited by human understanding,

not guided by the frivolous incantations of will,

nor the misguided and bias manipulations of need,

rather an expression of itself, itself an expression.

Love is the point of a soul stirring,

an inexplicable urge to surrender to emotion,

and to give of our very essence, our self without ego,

the core of our being.

Love is the purpose of self-sacrifice,

the ecstasy of selfless adoration,

and the one true path to perspective in life,

the one joy of being that no-one can take from you.

Love is the answer to all human ills and failing,

because in itself it is the pure and abiding perfection of potential,

the one thing that we as imperfect beings can aspire to,

and through it touch the infinite.

Love is the tempest, the silent warrior, the whisper of breath,

the mover of mountains and the making of dreams.

It is the ecstasy of oneness, the strength of individuality,

the caress of understanding and the consolation of pain.

Love is a direction.

SECRETS OF LOVE By BERNARD LEVINE

Make your love one feel special everyday.

Do not allow your lives to become routine -

prepare lots of different activities to enjoy.

Never take your loved one for granted.

      Keep your love forever precious,

      sacred and beautiful.

What you put into your love

is what you will get out of your love.

      Enrich your lives with prayer.

Always be your partners best friend.
