The Epi Cure by the Epigramman AKA Colin and the cats of the Great Lakes.

Updated on May 10, 2013

Epigramman is a magician. He can take a blank sheet like this and turn it into unadulterated fun and happy.

I will bet he is conjuring as I write.

Epigramman is awesome. He is my Epi Cure

This fellow hales from the Great lake area. He hangs out with two cool cats. He has a picture of himself on his hub profile that just makes you want to hug him and everything will be alright. He is the Epigramman with an alter ego he claims to be Colin. I am not certain but I do believe that sometimes he just sits back, drinks tea and puts his own name on stuff his cats write. He wrote something the other day that made me think he just may be the reincarnation of EA Poe.

What you really should do is stop reading this hub and go read his: http://epigramman.hubpages.com/

The Epigramman man is several things, but for sure he is poet of the year here for two years running. He is also prodigious in his production of writings. For sure he is funny. I think probably a genius. He is not quite anti materialistic but certainly not materialistic. Definitely he is compassionate. Clearly he is loving. Most assuredly inspirational. And it seems to me a bit twisted in a really cool way.

Is the Epigramman right for you.

Perhaps if you are a mental embryo. Perhaps if you are numb from shoulders up and any where near your heart. Perhaps if you just hate having fun. Perhaps if you like numbers more than letters. Perhaps if you are too poor to pay attention or too high to look up. Perhaps if you just envy great people too much. Well maybe Epi is not for you.

But if you have ever hugged a child, seen a shape in a cloud, had dreams or wished or hoped for something. Or if you have ever had a great big belly laugh and liked it, or played a practical joke. Or if you like puns, poetry and trickery. Epi baby is for you.

Epi's pieces are to poetry what this picture is to photography

One man's fall from grace and the miracle that saved him.

There is a writer I know, I will not write his name but his initials are Ericdierker. This guy has a tendency a couple o times a year to get way way way down. His favorite exercise during these times is jumping to conclusions and then jumping down your throat.

Well this guy was in a real pissy mood. And shortly he had some very important face to face work to do with people that he needed, business wise. He was trolling the hubpages looking for someone to bully and abuse. He found the perfect specimen in a young lady writer who was just too naive to even stomach. So he scrolled down to lay into her stupid butthead.

A strangest thing happened he slowed to read a comment by a fellow with a very strange name. And low and behold the comment was the sweetest kindest most inspirational and loving yet instructional comment he had ever seen. The seed of anger within him began to dissipate. So he clicked on the buttons and found the mans' profile. Ah ha, right there the man was bragging, or so he thought, so he quickly went to a hub to chastise the writer.

Well one hour later as he ran late for his appointment, he was whistling, had a great poem in his pocket to show the folks. In his new found great mood he one the clients over with grace and aplume and even made new friends. On the way home he bought blankets at the thrift store and gave them to homeless and then he gardened into the eave on his roses with a song in his heart spreading happiness and joy.

Well you guessed it, that man was none other than the living miracle known as the Epigramman.

So I hope you will join this no good rotten sinner who was saved, in doing two things, pray for him and go support him.

Maybe I should replace this guy with cats like Epi.

Oh, this is a lovely tribute to Colin! How sweet. He is one of the first poets on here that I noticed, and I have been hooked since the first one I read! On top of his pure talent, he is great at "chatting". When he leaves a wonderful comment on my page, it feels like a real life visit from a friend. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Years ago I saw this band live in performance with my girlfriend at the time and the venue was general seating or standing. We got there early and I said to Christine let's go over here to the left of the stage and stand until the show starts. Typically all women are suspicious - it's just in their nature, lol, and she said to me - why don't we stand right in the middle of the stage why are we over here on the far left.

Well there were three microphones set up there for the lovely Coconuts (the three female backup singers) and Colin is not a blind man , lol

I am not sure about "misery loves company". But I am sure that I appreciate good people like you sharing their hardship with me. It allows me to do my favorite things, love deeper and pray harder. You have what is in my heart and I assure you it is overflowing with love.

Now do not get me wrong because I know about Tiffy and Gabriel. But it may be time for you to get a roommate that has a working thumb. Just a thought. On the other hand, there may not be room with all the love all of us are sending you :-)

      I love you man!

Hello Eric - just popped by to tell you that I've spent most of the day in ER as I had some discomfort in my left chest and arms. They did a thorough examination with blood work, x-rays and they hooked me up to an IV. They finally sent me home with some prescriptions and a mobile heart monitor. I have to go back on Wednesday for more x-rays as my blood pressure was way way up. Home again and it feels so good - as my mum always said - Be it ever so humble there's no place like home and good friends like you too.

MartieCoester, Thank you from our Southwest to your South. It is interesting to note that sometimes I have to breath in and breath out and decide if I am ready to leave my space and go wherever Epi takes me. I suppose Colin also teaches us the lessons of letting go.

Amazing how one hubber can change the attitude of another. From negative to positive and sometimes even from positive to negative in just a few minutes.

Epigramman is surely the most sincere and benevolent hubber in HubPages, always supportive and generous with his compliments. He has the brain of a wise old genius and the heart of a loving and trusting child who knows no evil. His epigrams, whether on divine heights, or down in the gutters of the human soul, are always thought-provoking and worthy to ponder.

This is a great tribute to a great, sincere, loyal sometimes funny and sometimes even overbearing friend. I must emphasize this paragraph of yours -

"Perhaps if you are a mental embryo. Perhaps if you are numb from shoulders up and any where near your heart. Perhaps if you just hate having fun. Perhaps if you like numbers more than letters. Perhaps if you are too poor to pay attention or too high to look up. Perhaps if you just envy great people too much. Well maybe Epi is not for you."

Ericdierker, congratulations for paying this awesome tribute to our dear Epi :) May the two of you have a wonderful and peaceful Sunday :)

Voted up and awesome. Colin has been my friend practically from the beginning here on HubPages and he also first pulled me into FB. I love the guy he's wonderful and sincere and just terrific all around. My cat Sid adores the pics he's seen from his two cats Ms. Tiffy and Gabriel and always greets them. This is a terrific and deserving tribute to him. Passing this on.

Epi (Colin ) is our poet laureate here on Hubpages and no one messes with the Epiman. He's the best and one of the sweetest men I know. So, congrats Epi on a well deserved tribute!

A good morning to you my profound friend, Sir Eric, I managed to get home safe and sound earlier this morning but I had a fainting spell at work and they had to send me home early. I will try to get an appointment with my doctor this week because he believes in me like a friend and wants me to try and keep my life here at my cottage by the lake.

So it is currently 11:48am and I am having my first cup of coffee with a day that seems more like fall once again then spring or summer. lol

I had a good rejuvenating sleep and I am listening to the master flautist James Galaway to start my day.

If I were not taking my anti-depressant pill right now I would be crying like a baby while reading this beautiful heartfelt tribute and the comments from other hubbers and they are all of my friends and esteemed colleagues as well.

I was most touched and moved by your own testimony, Sir Eric, for it takes a true man to say he's sorry or to admit failure, and I am always the first one in line to do something like that.

Honesty and integrity I think is part of a writer's essential DNA - without it , really what good are we to our readers?

As I see/read it here on your sacred page there are two great men here whom through a miracle in life and karma and fate and good luck were blessed in being able to meet each other. And yes there are other great people as well in the comment section. As you know I am a big promoter of other people's talents here at the Hub because it truly is a small world out there when we can share and laugh and also at times provoke each other into thinking and the sportsmanship of great debates.

You are my hero as well Sir Eric and I feel good for others like some of the new people you met here on your page of comments. They are the lucky ones to be able to know you as a friend, colleague and as an inspiration. God bless you my friend and sending you a royal Canadian high five from two hands and 4 paws courtesy of Colin, Tiffy and Gabriel at lake erie time 11:59am

Gosh darn it Eric, I don't know if I should laugh or cry! Thank you, thank you... a million times, thank you! This is so beautiful and because of my love for Colin, I couldn't appreciate it anymore! Eric, I think you know how appreciated this is and what a kind gesture and unselfish act for you to do this for Colin and all of us who simply adore him. (Okay, I think I should stop the music, it's getting hard to write through the blur in my eyes :-)

I would also like to commend you for speaking so personally about yourself and what may seem to be an unflattering situation. It's not that easy or very common for us to put ourselves out there like that and admit we are some how flawed. Whatever negative attitudes you may have harvested in the past, are long since dead, with this most positive tribute! Thank you, this is truly perfect! Thanks
