"The Fall and The Lift"

I awoke from a terrifying fall into the gushing, powerful Niagara Falls. It bothered me, but I felt solace at the same time. Eyes half closed, I tried to feel for my pad and pen that I always carefully arrange on my night table. Here goes…

Cloudy white mist, heavy cascading water like thunder

Curiosity brought me falling head down Niagara Falls

My highest screams prayed to take me not into death slumber

“Angel of God, my guardian dear, please hear my calls!”

Far below is the Maid of the Mist washed in blue

Blue hooded spectators horrified, stoned in fright

As water swallowed me as I swallowed in, too

I see infinite drops on them, a clear visible sight.

Two pure blinding glows in human form

Caught me half way through my fall

Brushed their gigantic wings blowing like a storm

One said, “Don’t be afraid, I’m Vincent and this is Paul.”

Conscious as I was, wide-eyed and shivering

“I am unprepared, don’t take me yet,” I pleaded

“Silly woman,” said Paul heavenly shimmering

“We rescued you from the fall; your prayers have been answered.”

“You’ll be safe here. Be brave, have courage,” promised Vincent

I lay on top of smooth stones where waters make its pass

Angels are beautiful beings, hired workers and benevolent

Believing is the answer, it always been has.

Then Vincent and Paul became silent, flashing sweet smiles

It was pure quietness; they have not spoken another word

Their bright aura steadily shone right before my very eyes

My able-bodied angels bore neither armour nor sword.

And so now I conclude to this story that woke me

That both my angels assured me on the stones that I’d be okay

Where in bed, I opened my eyes, smiled, down on one knee

I watched them go off in a second swift as they flew away.

Finding the Meanings to My Dream

Angels
To see angels in your dream symbolize goodness, purity, protection, comfort and consolation. Pay careful attention to the message that the angels are trying to convey. These messages serve as a guide toward greater fulfillment and happiness. Alternatively, it signifies an unusual disturbance in your soul. -dreammoods.com

Waterfall
To see a waterfall in your dream is symbolic of letting go. You are releasing all those pent up emotions and negative feelings. Alternatively, the dream represents your goals and desires. In particular, if the waterfall is clear, then it represents revitalization, regeneration and renewal. -dreammoods.com

Fall
To dream that you fall and are frightened indicates a lack of control, insecurity, and/or lack of support in your waking life. You may be experiencing some major struggle and/or overwhelming problem. It may also imply that you have failed to achieve a goal that you have set forth for yourself.

To dream that you are free-falling through water indicates that you are feeling overwhelmed with emotions. You may feel that it is easier to give up, then to try to stay afloat or prevent yourself from going under. -dreammoods.com

Lovely poem. I dreamed once that I met an angel in a forest. We walked and talked. I felt calm, safe. I remember asking him some questions. But I have forgotten them now. I made a drawing of the experience though.

What a nice story...because it started so dreadfully...and you got to grab that pencil...and it had a happy ending. Delightful reading!

Your dream reminded me of one I had multiple times as a child, in which I too met my guardian angel. She is a woman (Mary? don't know) and she has stayed with me all my life. She has manifested many small miracles in my life over the years. Beautiful poem, so nice to get a glimpse of your spirit. Blessings.

Thank you Mhatter! You can say that too. The Lord speaks to us in many ways. Sometimes it's pure silence but then, we can feel 'that' an event or moment that it was meant to happen maybe because God wanted it to happen.

Voted up and beautiful. Glad it was only a dream but the symbolism is great. Passing this on.

Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing this with us. I believe sometimes the Lord speaks directly to us; or should I say, we hear the words.

Thank you midget. I have a journal of my dreams that I feel are giving striking symbols and then, I look up for their interpretations and add right below it. The journal serves as a record of my past and present situations, changes of moods and mixed emotions, finding some answers there. Thank you for dropping by and voting!

Hi Faith, this dream was fresh the same day I wrote it on my notepad. It was so vivid that I remember everything, and that I felt like I wasn't dreaming. But my thoughts just couldn't create a story like that out of the blue while fresh from sleep, so it must have been a dream. I thought that I was already awake. And thinking of it again last night, could it really be angels sent to me through dreams, a message they brought with them perhaps (an answer to my prayers and tears)? On the night before this dream happened, I was praying hard and crying and asking for a sign, but the tears had to be wiped off for I didn't want to be caught crying. As I awoke, I replayed it in my head and reached for my pen and paper. I had to write it down. I found it as an odd dream falling into Niagara Falls (why does it have to be these certain falls, maybe because I am in Canada?) and rescued by two tall angels. Am I forgetting that dreams are all odd? Not until I transferred my draft into HubPages and finding the meanings of the symbols in my dream that it coincided with my inner feelings I was praying for. I have only picked the meanings that fit to my situation and emotions. A message sent from Above? I believe it is. And I am smiling...

      Thank you, Faith Reaper!
