The Favorable Storm

Updated on September 6, 2011

A clear blue sky overhead.
Trash lined the streets
A recent hurrican
left its mark.

Scattered debris
its he calling card.
Broken twigs, branches
and leaves.
All beginning
to turn brown, now.

Neighbors are happy
and jolly.
The storm's punch
relaxed its blow to
our area.
A big sigh
of relief.

Plastic bags, dirty roads
and evergreen branches.

The clean
up will take awhile.
Smiling faces
still happy
for the soft punch.

This time,
favor came by.
Inside the heart jumps.
Pure joy.
