The Game of Politics

Some don't want to get involved
And some say way too much
Some claim problems they can solve
Some are out of touch
Politics, a high stakes game
Where none can truly win
Some find temporary fame
Yet soon are poor again
Some push peace and some cry war
Some despair and wait
Some know not what it's all for
Some succumb to hate
The people wait and hope to find
A permanent solution
Someone benevolent and kind
Through peace or revolution
Some are tired of waiting
Some stay full of hope
Some find patience abating
Some just try to cope
The earth spins round and round
The times will change and merge
Hope can always be found
Though life will ever purge
Some will rise and some will fall
Some will grow estranged
Some will answer this world's call
Some will make a lasting change.

Moira, What a clever, ironic, lyrical look at politics! The more things change, the less they really have to remain the same if people are active, caring and committed.
Thank you for sharing, etc.,

A game where some of the winners are the biggest losers. However, this is a winner through and through. Enjoyable and truthful. Voted up
