"The Girl with a Golden Heart" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"The Girl with a Golden Heart"

Born unto beauty

Subjected to objectification

Objecting to subjection

Doe eyes and a dear heart

A real peach sweet from the start

A desirable possession

Man handles her meat

Gripping and clawing at her bosom

Full of spunk

Drunk off your ass

Drooling at her feet

Kneeling for tenderness

They show their soft side

Baiting the girl with a golden heart

Trapping their prey

She aims to please, a care giver

Able bodied, soft lipped

Wrapped gently around hard dick

Swallowing her pride

Giving a ride

Young shovels digging inside

Declaring love for the pod

Never prying beyond facade

Never recognizing the soul

Never surfing the waves of her brain

Beached on her body

Soaking in her sun

Rubbing on her...bum

She, wanting for something more

He, announces her a whore

Choking her with tight fingers against a pink wall

Spitting down and feeling tall

Intoxicated

Insecure

Going 12 rounds with the knockout

Fleeing to her corner

The girl with a golden heart finds truth

Learning the nature of man

Never falling victim again

Loving, caring, sharing

She dresses the worlds wounds as her own

Her golden heart bandaged and healing

Growing bigger and stronger

The din of its thump a beacon

Beauty for the blind

Her soul one of a kind

Ha seeeeee.... I'm not Walt Disney, I don't believe in fairy tales and unicorns. I have seen strength and i have seen strength succumb to pain, but as long as a body inhales breath there is a chance for a fight for justice and ownership of ones self again.

Hmm... maybe I will visit again then. I agree it isn't gender specific and I blamed skewed perspectives. Insecurity, entitlement attitudes, unfair expectations... I can keep going. I like observing and it plays out like a dark comedy, which is a favorite of mine... issues... lol

I totally agree with you Lissette, this happens to be inspired by a real person, but the majority of women never get past the pain and are trapped. I will have more writing about certain subject matter, men are cruel to women and women are cruel to men. Abuse is not gender specific and it all stems from insecurity in my experience. Thanks for reading and the reminder that not all these stories have a bow on them.

This rings of depressing truth and still I wish it were more true. Yours has somewhat of a happy ending of healing. So many today let the world around them change who they are instead of healing and coming back stronger. It now becomes a 'what has the world made you' kind of place. Sad. Truth.

I love this poem..rude words and all (you are good at slipping them in Eric...lol) Beautiful tale of an innocent young girl becoming wise to the ways of the world.
