The Grand Illusion

Updated on June 29, 2012

What is real?

Can real change

as some things do?

Would it be stable

and shifting too?

Could it be solid

if every moment

if threatened in due course

to come apart

perhaps to renew?

We would have to watch our step

or erase forever.

then there are the exceptions

we say things are real

their natures fixed

yet the natures change before our eyes

we know not how

we know not why

still we persist

on believing our eyes

Consider and atom

if you will

put it under power

lay its nature bear

seek its root

there is nothing there

nothing but energy

now here is something

energy at the root

its nature never changes

one cant destroy it

only reform it

but it is at liberty

if attraction is strong

to reform at will

its rules don't go wrong

Could we be in a play

where we think the costumes are real

but it is the naked underneath

that bears the real

doing the dance

but at will can change

according to set design

if given half a chance.

so if one would live

in the real

with knowledge

seek the energy within

and around

know its laws and there abide

be common with the flow

then maybe you will see

if you succeed

a life without bounds

a life of dreams.

You could just as easily make your own tower and build its frequency till it sends just the right stating at a frequency that occludes all others. It would mean that you could cope and thrive where you are... or at least where you will be when you find safe moorings

Oh, this is such a perfect description of how I feel these days.

Getting too close to a roving tower is not only unpleasant but it also carries a risk of crossing lines and losing the perspective. And that's another thing I am worried about. Maaany took that path and, in turn, discredited themselves. The goal is to stay in between the extremes.

So, I'll let the towers rove but I'll remove myself away from the frequencies. No, its not the reset in sight. I need to do that in order to be able to observe the waves soberly, see their shapes clearly. Can't do it while I am underneath the bloody things.

I'm just "a little girl" who found herself near the towers by a freak accident and some sick gene pools. I did not have classes at school that would teach me how to deal with waves, frequencies, towers and roving. That is why I need to get some studying done first. Not sure how, but your poems are a good start...

(Btw, that swimming conversation we had somewhere else had given me tones of courage. I didn't expect that... - power of words...)

The thing about reality is it exists on frequencies. Like a world full of radio towers. The thing that gives it solidity are the things that the towers on a regional level have in common. It isn't pleasant when one finds that one has gotten too close to an overpowering tower. Even worse when that tower is roving. The funny and sad part about ones' own portion in this is that one can also exist on the frequency of chaotic thing which makes it easier for stuff to happen chaotically.

It is just so easy to conform and comply without even knowing that. And I didn't think about it in a right way before reading "A Dangerous Reset". I was considering all the bravery and the standing up against but not even once I thought about the trap of the adjustment to the shock. Well, I did, but in a physical form, a gun kinda form. Not about the internal me wanting to just "keep it easy"...

I can see how it can be tempting to switch off and not be impressed by all that "matter"... Not now, later...

      Isadoras have a care

      I speak not of nothing

      nor bark at the air

      if I didn't know

      I wouldn't bother

      too close for comfort

      without a way in sight

      I am sorry my dear

      I comprehend your plight

      but say I the same

      as I have before

      this world is full

      of the blind

      but the seeing, not so

      yet there exist

      aberrations from the norm

      If nothing else

      allow that you don't know

covered with clouds of dust that has been wiped

      that has been removed

      particulates of all of us

bouncing of the walls are leaving the room

atoms and all the matter dont impress me right now

      everything is empty inside

      how do you know

how can you trust what you see what you're told

you watch you read you write

      you will never really know

      the guessing game is infinite

you can place your bets and pay up straight

      the definitions will change

      nobody will see any trace

The part of everything that doesn't change is real. The illusion exists largely for our education. We embellish our illusion when we decide to believe in our limitations and add to them or give them details that didn't already exist. We start to get to reality when we believe in our unlimited nature and seek our happiness without excuses.

Even then, there is illusive happiness and then there are the underlying reality that gives its own brand of satisfaction. Our Father, who provides for both reality and illusion, IMO is interested in both our illusions and the reality that doesn't change even if the manner of his design allows us to disregard it to a point.

but then it's no longer real. when its designed. ?

more like the real is under pressure from those for whom the real is designed to serve, up to a point.

Hmm, not sure ;) Do you mean the left over of real is the real inside? Unchangeable under pressure from the set designers?

I find sometimes a little editing goes a long way to clean things up. Do my changes help?

    • IsadorasThought profile image

To understand that the left over is real one must realise that illusion exists.

I find myself at a point where one really cant understand what is illusion without comprehending that the left over is real. The problem often boils down to blind sides and assumptions.

This is perfect on so many levels, Jaggedfrost.

I feel it's not always important to understand what's real is but it's important to know what isn't.

Mhatter99 and when you actually do know it makes things seem all the same for being able to say so out loud so to speak. Great comment. Thanks for stopping by.

Nell Rose, A pleasure that you stopped by and that you understood. I really don't try to be all that cryptic but when it comes to discussing important subjects poetry seems to be my most lucid format. I believe we can live in a dream of our making if we own up to the terms of our existence and its principles.

As a lover of quantum physics, I get it! lol! what a great poem, and yes energy can shift, change, become a wave or a ball, go forward or backwards, travel through space and be right here at the same time, what a dream we would have if we knew this. Wonderful!

You raise interesting questions and I like that you do it in poetic form--very nicely done!
