The Greatest Gift (a poem by Whonunuwho)

Updated on June 21, 2014
the gift of all life, beyond measure
the gift of all life, beyond measure
bright life, and so pleasurable
bright life, and so pleasurable
Earthen life
Earthen life
creatures seek breath
creatures seek breath
Both the great and small enjoy life.
Both the great and small enjoy life.
Life is beautiful!
Life is beautiful!

The most wonderful gift, and the one without measure,

far greater than all riches from any gold filled treasure,

one to perceive by our hearts and the fondest senses,

so given in a spiritual truth, and without any pretenses.

This marvelous gifting, and one not to have any equal,

a story of most cherished regard, in its continuing sequel.

seeing, hearing, and feeling it, all is within our own touch,

a composition so superb, and to us, meaning so much.

A flash, a bright light, and then in endless progression,

a spirit then received, to be accepted without question,

the breath of sweet life, and to maintain our procession.

each, a grateful owner of such a priceless possession.

The greatest gift, ours always, and is ours for the keeping,

as we each take part in life's laughter, and in its weeping.

ours, in the living, and with a grand universe to explore,

while with every small step taken, we may open a new door.

Both the poem and the photography are beautiful.

Nature is truly the best gift, and if we can connect spiritually to it then what more do we want :)

This is absolutely beautiful referring to our living soul encased for a short time in our body and set free when entering the eternal life beyond. The photos are beautiful also. I am assuming they are yours? You should credit them as to source.
