"The Halloween Nightmare of Becky Lynn Todd"

This is one of my short stories, I wrote a few years back, I don't know how good or bad it is. I thought I would share it with you all. This story was set back in little town called Black Hollow, West Virginia. where there was an old legend about the witches, goblins and ghost that come out to wreck havoc on the community people on Halloween night.

Becky Lynn Todd lived with her parent in an old Victorian style home in Black Hollow, West Virginia. Becky Lynn was an only child of Mary and John Todd. There was a legend going around, that on Halloween night all the witches, ghost and goblins came out to wreck havoc on the community people of Black Hollow.

Mr. and Mrs Todd was very protected of Becky Lynn, because she was their only child. Becky Lynn didn't get a chance to do a lot visiting with her friends, because the Todd's were very strict parent. Becky Truly loved her parent, but like all children, she thought they were being mean to her because she couldn't visit her friends.

One day, while walking from school, Mary Lou Benson decided to walk with Becky. They laughed and talked about a lot of things, they even talked about the spooky story of the Halloween legend. They both decided to believe that it was only a legend. Mary Lou asked Becky, if she was going to the Halloween party, that the kids were having at the old Brimstone shack. Becky Lynn told Mary Lou, that she was going to try. It's hard getting of the house sometimes, because of my parents.

At the fork of the road, Mary Lou and Becky Lynn said good bye, and went in two different directions to their homes. Becky Lynn was so excited about the thought of the Halloween party. When she came through the door, she spoke to her parent and asked them if could she go the Halloween party. Her parent looked at each other and told her that they would let her know later. Becky Lynn was kind of disappointed, but at least they didn't say no.

Becky Lynn ate her dinner, helped her mother with the dishes and went up stairs to read, while she was reading her favorite horror book, she suddenly fell asleep. Becky was dreaming about the Halloween party, she was amazed, because everyone at the party wore monstrous costumes, there wasn't a pretty face in the bunch. While sleeping, Becky had a very vivid dream of the Halloween party with the witches, ghost, goblins and she realized she was the only human here, since everyone else had assume monster identities.

The witches had a cauldron, where they put fresh human blood of their victims, that they sacrificed. Becky Lynn, saw the witches coming after her with glaring eyes and one had a machete in her hand. Becky Lynn became frighten and started to run out of the door, everyone ran after her with monotone chantings. They were in hot pursuit, Becky ran faster than she ever had before; it seemed she was barely moving.

Becky was so scared that she couldn't only feel her heart beating, she could hear it too; her only thoughts were if I can just make it home, I know I will be safe. She her heard her cat Montague' meow and awaken her from a horrible nightmare. Breathing hard, trying to catch her breath with Montague starring down at her. Becky Grabbed up Montague up, asking him what are you doing here my little black cat, you know you almost scared me to death.

Montague purred and rubbed his head up against Becky Lynn' s face, Becky thought about how real the dream seem and she didn't like they way it made her feel. The dream made her feel like she would be the next sacrifice, and she didn't want her dream to become a reality,so she dismissed it from her thoughts. She said her prayers and went to sleep with Montague in her arms.
