Headache from Being Upside Down All Day

Updated on July 26, 2017

Whimsical, happy, spiritual, informative, and/or nonsensical singsong lyrical poems, metaphors, prose, rhymes, and short stories.

Upside-Down Cat

Upside Down Diana Ross

I would have to learn to not

be in such ongoing, relentless

despair,

every time that gum,

and cat vomit, would get

tangled up inside my hair.

Happy Feet

All day long, I have been hopping around,

upside-down, on top of my painful head;

This feat is terribly painful,

and my face is bright beet red!

I have a migraine headache,

and am feeling dizzy, at very best,

But, this is something I must endure,

so that I can give my feet some needed rest!

I, loudly, pound upon the floor,

hopping all day, on top of my sore head;

I will need some Excedrin, tonight, for sure,

while I lie upon my spinning bed!

I would rather hop on top of my head,

if even for one more extra mile,

just to ensure that every frown,

I come upon, should be turned-up,

into a beautiful smile!

      Ouch... your head must hurt! I hope you got enough ice packs. I have never jumped around on my head, tho. ;)

      Ha Ha, Dream :-) Your comment made me feel good, and is a beautiful start to my day! Yes, sometimes it is difficult to figure out why others do the things they do. Even hopping around on my head, all day, does not help my insight into understanding people.

      Hugs, Tamara

      I came home from work and I just want to sit on my head. I can't figure out what or why people act the way they do it makes no sense. One minute their complaining their busy and when it's slow they are bored. I figure if the blood rushes to my head I might get a little insight. No. Still No. Nope. I will have to try again later. Thank you for writing such a fun loving hub. May you enjoy your night.

      On a day when I'm really tired, and thinking of giving my feet some rest, I just might think of this poem and burst into laughter. Good job!

      The title sounds really energetic..Yes!After working all day long our legs become exhausted and so becomes our delicate brains..too much of load on them. Very well presented. Lovely! Have a very enjoyable weekend.

      I lost my first comment. So I thought I'd try again. Upside turns things around and makes the ground closer and the ceiling disappear. Thank you for sharing.

      You have brought a new way to see each day. Upside down even things that are crooked or wrong don't matter much. Funny pictures of animals that make us laugh. Thank you for sharing.

      I like swimming in fresh-water lakes, but very cold, right now! Yes, balance; no extremes :-)

      If your poem is real, then be careful. Mortification was the old form of Spirituality. You really want to stay healthy and well. Some playfulness is good, true, but use the middle way. No extremes.

      Try jogging. You will get to the point where you feel great! Or maybe swimming or just be wise in whatever you do. Best wishes
