The Headless Ghost
Goblin glowing by the window
Monster hiding under my bed
Ghost floating around my home
Footstep I’m hearing…”thump thump thump”
Dogs howling outside my yard
Wind blowing brought chills to my spine
Witches on broomstick flying across the moon
“Yeee hee heee heeee heeeee” she cried
And then I heard someone running in the woods
Like escaping from someone
And then I heard a scream….”Ahhhhhhhhhh”
Along with a sound of a chop
My eyes open wide with fear and heart pounding hard
I look through the window and see
A body that was chopped with an ax
Being drag along a grassy autumn field
Trials of blood trace mark the ground
Which lead to the grave yard
The gate of the cemetery creeks
Owls hoot and bats screaming welcoming the dead
The ghostly man watch the zombies eat
The flesh of the old man
And then a young man believed to be a visitor from the castle of doom
Gallop from the wood
His horse lamed on the foot by a rock from a run
Screaming in such distraction
So a man camped where the murder was done
Fresh blood stains melt upon the ground he lays
As a wind hurried past with shout
Thunder roars tangled the night sky
Bring horror to my heart
I scream outside my window, to warn him the evil
Will come by to kill him, move along and don’t return
But words that I say comes in mute
He could not hear me…so I watched…I watched…I watched…
A creature of infinite dread
A thing with face of an ape
With eyes like of a dead
Came dragging with an ax
The man sank deeper to the ground
Lean against the hollow tree
With terrors I see in the man eyes
As the creature chopped his head
He died…
His spirit along with his horse
Roaming around that deep wood
Every Halloween night, he appear before your eyes
The headless ghost from the castle of doom
