The Heartbreak Poem

Updated on June 18, 2013

The Heartbreak Poem

My heart will never be the same,

Not today, tomorrow, or a hundred years.

It has suffered too much pain,

Too much sorrow, and way too many tears.

I hope that I can find myself one day,

Learning to trust & love again.

But never will I love like I love you,

A consuming love with no beginning or end.

Forever I shall long for your love,

My heart will forever be painfully scarred.

From you unexpectedly taking your love away from me,

A sucker punch that hit me hard.

Sorry I don’t make you happy anymore,

And that I no longer make you smile.

Sorry that I make u miserable & smother you,

And that loving me isn’t worth going the extra mile.

So it is with great agony and overwhelming sorrow,

And streams of tears pouring from my eyes.

That I find I must try to pick myself up,

And whisper to you a mournful goodbye.

TY so much. I haven't written that one yet, but I have found that special someone and married him March 30 of this year. My Soulmate. :)
