The Hidden History of Life On Earth

I have read several books and articles written by well-known scientists and archeologists who believe that we have been visited by aliens for thousands of years. My first introduction to this theory was reading the first three books written by Erich von Daniken. “Chariots of the Gods” opened my mind to the idea of alien forefathers when I was in my early 20s. I have read nothing since that has proved unequivocally that von Daniken was incorrect in his assumption that we are the ancestors of ancient astronauts from another planet.

One of the reasons I believe this theory so vehemently is the thought process of evolution—if the human race was descended from apes, why are there still apes? If apes evolved into humans, what sent one branch of that evolutionary process on the road to human form, but kept another branch as animals? Something had to have mated with the apes to trigger their evolution into humans.

Even the Bible reports that other beings mated with human women: [Genesis 6:4]

“The sons of heaven saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and so they took for their wives as many of them as they chose. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.”

Who were the Nephilim? They must have been a race of beings that was recognized by whoever wrote the book of Genesis, because he didn’t feel the need to explain himself when he mentioned them. Another question would have to be, why would the Nephilim think female apes were so beautiful? Beautiful enough to mate with them? Probably not, unless their entire purpose was to create a new being.

  • The phrase "sons of God" is used in Job 1:6 and 2:1 to describe angels, and apparently early Jewish writers interpreted this passage as referring to angels.
  • In support of the idea that angels came to live on earth and married human women, Jude 6 refers to "angels who...abandoned their own home," and other passages describe angels as being able to assume human form (Heb 13:2, Gen 19:1-3).
  • In Numbers 13:33, the Nephilim are described as giants. (Could Goliath [of the David and Goliath story] have been a Nephilim?)

Klaus Dona is a life-long archeologist who has collected hundreds of artifact pieces of evidence that supports von Daniken’s findings. He is presently working on Project Avalon. The link below is a YouTube interview with Dona. It will take about an hour to watch, but is well worth the time to see what he has discovered.
