The High Country Waltz

Updated on November 12, 2011

The High Country Waltz

Upon the mountain I listen to the tunes being played
Songs of the birds
Hum of the bees
Sway of the trees
Out of the earth the springs flow in harmony
Little butterflies twirl and dance through the air
Pine needles whisper their song through the wind without a care
I dance to the tunes being played
The High Country Waltz
High above the mountain
The Creator looks down on me
He is pleased as he conducts natures harmony
For I dance no other dance than
The High Country Waltz

A Delightful Dance
A Delightful Dance

Elder Spirits, indeed a spirit of nature, our creator built things just so and he gave us two eyes, two ears but just one pie hole. An excellent point that we need to listen and look twice as much as flapping our jaws. I just got back from better than 4 weeks of traveling the Rocky Mountains, meeting up with people that unless they come to see me, it was my farewell tour and I and my 4 sidekicks traveled with me taking turns at the passenger seat of my jeep and hanging their heads out when it was too cold to have the window open. I finally got to drive Wolf Creek pass into Pagosa Springs and it was as told a wicked drive but my chance. I got to look and listen in many places and you have penned a great poem of the beauty still with us,

      Thanks Dusty

Thank you Mr. epigramman for such wonderful support on my first piece. I agree, with many poems and writings music can be a beautiful added touch and I will certainly take advantage of this. However the depth of the poems meaning is that music all around us. Just listen.

I have a small cabin in the mountains by a river so I am fortunate to have such music everywhere. Even on a still hot summer day, the bees and butterfly's are so very busy and if you listen, there is music there. And oh the drumming of a rain storm can hold many masterpieces! Hear it on a tin roof, pounding or a steady pour. With thunder and a light show! You see? An entire symphony abounds us. We are in the audience of it all. All we need to do is listen. It is then we hear what others choose not. What is it that we seek in this symphonic of perfection? I shall post another piece that may explain this in more depth. Many Blessing my new friend.

...oh my goodness I do love this one so much - it's so lyrical and such a great title - there is music flowing through this and I felt so good while reading it.

I will post this immediately to my Facebook page with a direct link back here and so nice to meet you and thank you for your royal endorsement of my humble little hubpage - I would love to see a music video inspired by this lovely piece of writing.
